 I attended Mission High school until tenth Grade, then after eight years went back to school and got my GED in 1988. I was a paraprofessional for 9 yrs. at Salinas Elementary in Mission. I decided to continue my education and attended STCC part-time and earned my Associates degree. Then, Attended Pan American where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bilingual Education. I received my certification in EC-4 Bilingual.  
I did my student teaching at Bentsen Elementary in Sharyland and was a full time Substitute in first grade for half a year. Then got my job here at Wernecke Elementary where I taught two years in 1st grade and this is my eighth year teaching kinder. I have been married for 38 yrs. I have two wonderful boys whom without, I would have not been able to attend college and finish when I did, they have helped me so much. I am very honored and proud to have such wonderful boys.
