Each individual student has a unique point goal based on their STAR Reading test results. Please refer to your child's agenda or AR Home Connect for current AR information.
How to access AR Home Connect:
Go to www.sharylandisd.org
Click on the "Academia" tab
Click on the link "AR Home Connect"
Enter your child's username and password
Below are the word count goals for each grade level. Reach the goal and be recognized at the end of the year with a special certificate! The students with the highest word counts in their grade levels and who are meeting their AR goals all year long are competing for AR trophies!!
AR Word Count Goals
1st grade – 40,000
2nd grade – 65,000
3rd grade – 250,000
4th grade – 350,000
5th grade – 450,000
6th grade – 500,000
Be sure that you are at our "Celebration" at the end of the year! We are going to have a fun time as we celebrate all the reading we did during the school year! (Water Bash, AR Shirts, and "VIP Reader" information can be obtained at the library.)
