Cuellar, Veronica

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website.   I look forward to working with your child and nourishing their brains.  I have high expectations and know they will be met as long as we work together. I graduated from The University of Texas Pan American in 2002 with a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  This is my ninth year teaching First grade, but I have taught Kindergarten for nine years and third grade for three years.  I look forward to a great year, full of success and fun.  Some information you might want to know, you can find here on my website, and whichever question is not answered please feel free to ask.  Reading:  We do have AR testing here at school and I highly recommend that you encourage your child to participate.  Reading is required as a homework assignment, which is 20 min. a night.  They can test daily, or test when finished with the book once they get to class. Homework, will be sent  Monday and turned in on Friday. Homework should take about 20 minutes, with little or no help from parents. It is a reinforcement, and should not frustrate your child, or yourself. I know many of our parents work, go to school, or have other children to work with, I appreciate all that you do to help me here at school. Please do not hesitate to contact me at school during my planning time before or after school, via e-mail, or on the phone if you have any questions or concerns.  I will do whatever I can to help.  Thank you once again,
Mrs. Cuellar
