Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!  I am excited to begin my 15th year as a teacher.  In 2008 I graduated from the University of Texas Pan American with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and received a bilingual certification in early childhood - 4th grade.  Right after graduating I began my teaching career here at Wernecke, where I taught 3rd grade for four years and this is my eleventh year teaching 1st grade.  What I enjoy most about my job is getting to see my students reach their highest potential.  That is why I encourage them to strive to be the best they can be.

   My other job in life is being a mother to my beautiful daughter Clarissa.  She was born in January 2012 and she keeps my husband and I very busy.
